Windows Server, Red Hat and Ubuntu Support

Zend Server Stack

Use of Zend Server, an integrated software stack for running and managing PHP applications that require a high level of reliability, performance and security.

Improves KnowledgeTree performance by up to 40%.

Translated into Spanish, Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese

In addition to English, Italian, German and French, KnowledgeTree is now also available in Spanish, Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese translations.

Setup Wizard

A one-click stack Setup Wizard configures the underlying platform, walks you through the configuration of the system and assists you with installing a new version of KnowledgeTree. It will also help with upgrading the system from a previous version of KnowledgeTree.

CMIS Interface

KnowledgeTree version 3.7 introduces the first iteration of our new CMIS interface which is compliant with version 0.61 of the draft specification. CMIS is a proposed web services standard aimed at improving interoperability between different content management systems.

KnowledgeTree Releases

KnowledgeTree 3.6.1

KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 is a major update of our last stable, supported KnowledgeTree Commercial Editions Server (version 3.5.4a).

Electronic Signatures – this functionality facilitates compliance with a number of standards, including CFR 21 Part 11. When Electronic Signatures is enabled for your system, users are required to enter their KnowledgeTree username and password to complete document and folder write actions where re-authentication is required.
Document Type Alerts – these are alerts set up by the KnowledgeTree administrator and applied globally to a specific document type. Users view document type alerts in the document view, as ‘system alerts’.
Server-side components for KnowledgeTree Office Add-in are packaged with the KnowledgeTree server stack installer (Commercial only) – the client tool is installed on the client
Warning prompt added to the 'Make Immutable' action - previously, users could make a document immutable without realizing that the action could not be undone
Improvements to Search – changes to search ranking ensure that results are returned in the correct order, with the document title and metadata ranking higher than content. Improvements to the Advanced Search function ensures that more relevant results are returned
Improvements to Indexing – a new, more reliable method of extracting content from documents ensures greater support for document formats and improved cross-platform stability.
IE8 compatibility
Improved PDF conversion - allows users to generate a PDF of supported file types
Improvements to the Upgrade Installers
Numerous Bug fixes

KnowledgeTree Drop Box 1.1

KnowledgeTree Drop Box is officially out of Beta with this production-ready release of version 1.1. This release includes an overhaul of the session management mechanism, as well as a few patches for issues found in the previous beta editions. KnowledgeTree Drop Box 1.1 is available with the KnowledgeTree Commercial Edition.

KnowledgeTree Hot Folders 1.1.1

KnowledgeTree Hot Folders is officially out of Beta with this production-ready release of version 1.1.1. KnowledgeTree Hot Folders 1.1.1 is essentially a maintenance release that fixes a few minor issues, and includes KnowledgeTree's new branding. Most importantly, version 1.1.1 replaces KnowledgeTree Hot Folders 1.1.0 Beta, which expires on June 30th, 2009.

KnowledgeTree Tools 3.6.1

This is a production-ready, maintenance release of the KnowledgeTree Client Tools for Windows package, which includes:

KnowledgeTree Hot Folders 1.1.0 Beta

This is a production-ready update of our second BETA for KnowledgeTree Hot Folders (previous version 1.0.2 BETA). This release fixes a number of known and user-reported issues, and includes the following new features:

Support for Microsoft Vista 32-bit
Allows upload of folders - entire folder structures (including documents) may now be replicated in KnowledgeTree
Start pre-existing KnowledgeTree Workflows via the XML

KnowledgeTree 3.5.4a is a maintenance release and contains no new features, other than a new Japanese language pack (only available in the Commercial Editions). This release focuses on improving and stabilizing the upgrade process, and on resolving a few security related issues. We have also fixed a number of bugs, including issues with document alert email links, metadata versioning, and search in KnowledgeTree Tools.

KnowledgeTree 3.5.2a

This is KnowledgeTree?s first production-ready release of our new PHP5 and MySQL5-based stack. The move to PHP5 provides a modern application environment that will bring improved performance and stability. This stack also brings support for Windows® Vista® and a host of new features detailed below.

KnowledgeTree Server

A powerful new search engine that includes offline document indexing, a search query builder, ranked results, wild cards, and result snippets.
Microsoft Office 2007 support for both our Office Tools and document indexing
A brand new stack, based on PHP5 and MySQL 5, delivers improved performance and stability, and support for Windows™ Vista.
An EXIF Indexer, for TIFF and JPG files, which extracts the metadata embedded by some scanners and digital cameras.
Improvements to KnowledgeTree's Web Interface, including 'Bulk Actions' ? now available on the Search Results page and Browse Documents ? and additional workflow triggers, such as the 'Copy Workflow' trigger, which makes a copy of a document when it reaches a specified workflow state.

Ability to delete users from the system.
A new KnowledgeTree Task Scheduler now allows you to create Plugins for setting up custom, pre-defined, time-based tasks that you want to run automatically within KnowledgeTree.
Custom Document Numbering plugin ? create your own numbering schemes by document type to use as the KnowledgeTree document IDs
Document Version Comparison ? generates a document through OpenOffice, showing content changes between any two versions of a document with the same mime type, then create a downloadable PDF out of the version comparison document.
Conditional Metadata ? a new fieldset type that allows you to define master Lookup fields, each with a subset of associated lookup fields and values.

New document metadata input screen allows concurrent upload of multiple documents (common metadata may be applied to several files at once).
German translation of KnowledgeTree Tools interface is now available (More languages available soon).
Ability to view document properties on checked-out documents.
Document Workflow Integration Service now supports upload of system metadata, including created date, modified date and version number
Ability to disable save password feature for added security
KnowledgeTree Office Plugin now supported for use with Microsoft Office 2007
